The Christian Discipleship Ministry Team is responsible for many aspects of our Christian life. They oversee the education of all, from birth through adulthood.
A Lenten Study takes place during Lent each spring. Typically spanning multiple weeks, the evenings begin with a light meal and a brief time for fellowship. Following the meal, we present the week’s session and discussion. We welcome you to attend all weeks but it is not a requirement. Nursery care is also available.
Each summer, the church hosts Vacation Bible School. It is enthusiastically attended by the youth of the congregation and children from the surrounding community. In recent years, VBS has been a resounding success; it is intergenerational and well attended by young and old alike.
At the beginning of the fall church year, the team holds Rally Day to kick off the Fall Sunday School classes, recognize students, and celebrate with a church family picnic.
There is also the Advent Workshop held near the first Sunday of Advent, where we share a meal, participate at various craft tables, and wrap hundreds of pairs of shoes for the annual Shoes for Kids project.
The notices for these and additional offerings can be found in the Christian Discipleship section of The Chimes.
